"We used our CNC wood lathe for the first time yesterday. I was very impressed with the performance of it. We look forward to producing many turnings for future projects in our advanced woodworking course. I was wondering if you have sold many of these machines to other high school woodshop programs? It is awesome so far and is a nice complement to our CNC router."
"Thank you so much for all of your kindness and help, you went above and beyond for us – and it will never be forgotten, you are a great person!"
Our Story
We received the inquiry from Jeff on December 15, 2021. In the message, he said he is looking for a cnc wood lathe that would be ideal for a high school woodshop program to turn table legs for coffee and end tables. After understanding the requirements clearly, we are sure that EA-the 2 Gen mini wood lathe TL1020ST can best meet their needs. Therefore, we sent a business proposal to the client; the proposal listed the detailed specifications and technical parameters of the wood lathe as well as a quotation.
Jeff submitted our proposal to the school management for approval. Then there is the waiting process.
We heard from Jeff on June 28, 2022; the email wrote, “he wants to get an updated quote on the lathe as the previous one had expired.” Because the currency exchange rate has not changed significantly, we sent him an updated proposal but kept the same price as before.
On July 01, Jeff's colleague Melanie responded, “Our budget was approved to order this wood lathe. Do you accept purchase orders, or how do we go about placing the order?”
We told her, “Please send us the PO, And then we will issue a proforma invoice to you so you can get the down payment wired. We would put your order into production on the receipt of the down payment.”
On Jul.12, Melanie sent the PO to us. And we sent them the proforma invoice.
On Jul.16, we received an email from another colleague of Jeff, Jodie; the letter said, “The 40% down payment was wired to you today. Can you kindly let me know when you receive the funds?”
On Jul.19, we received the advance payment and notified Jodie.
On Jul.20, we put the order into production. And we got the lathe ready on Aug.01.
Next, we both confirmed the arrangement for sea shipping. The customer then wired the balance to us on August 17.
Next, we arranged the shipment of the goods and informed the customer to contact a local customs broker in advance because, according to the regulations, the customer needs to submit the ISF form to their customs 48 hours before sailing.
When the date of submitting ISF is approaching, we send a friendly reminder to our customers to remind them to pay attention to the emails in these two days because we will send ISF information to them. Jodie replied, "Thank you for all of your help, it is greatly appreciated!"
With the joint efforts of the client, the client's local customs broker and us, we successfully submitted the ISF.
Since it is the first time customers have imported such a machine by themselves, they have questions about logistics, shipping documents, and customs clearance. We explained to the customer one by one.
After we explained to the customer how to pick up in Philadelphia-PA, the customer said this: “This process has been so confusing, I can’t thank you enough for all of your help.”
Then, we regularly follow up the progress on the client side And remind customers what to pay attention to next in time.
Jodie said: “ You have been so gracious and kind to me at every turn, I truly appreciate you and everything you’ve done! You are awesome.”
Finally, the customer successfully received the mini cnc wood lathe they ordered. Jodie put it this way in her email: "Drum roll….IT ARRIVED IN THE DISTRICT TODAY!!! Hahahaha, I feel like we should have had a ribbon cutting for the arrival of this lathe – if we had I would have for sure invited you. Thank you so much for all of your kindness and help, you went above and beyond for us – and it will never be forgotten, you are a great person!"
Jeff sent us this passage after using the cnc wood lathe machine for the first time: “We used our CNC wood lathe for the first time yesterday. I was very impressed with the performance of it. We look forward to producing many turnings for future projects in our advanced woodworking course. I was wondering if you have sold many of these machines to other high school woodshop programs? It is awesome so far and is a nice complement to our CNC router.”
