How To Use A V Groove Router Bit Properly

• V grooving router bits are designed for handheld and CNC woodworking routers. They are not suitable for hand drills, CNC drills, and other equipment.

• This V-bit is particularly designed to create a smooth surface on hardwood, softwood, synthetic board, and other wood elements. Still, please do not use it to work with metals such as copper and iron and non-wood materials such as sand and stone.

• Please use a collet of the appropriate size for your bits; please keep in mind that a collet that is severely worn, out of round, or has a tapered inner hole may not provide enough clamping force. This can result in dangerous vibrations and lead to the tool shank twisting off, potentially causing the tool to fly off and causing serious harm.

• A new collet is not necessarily 100% safe and reliable. If uneven contact marks or grooves are found on the shank after the tool is clamped, it indicates slippage and the inner hole of the collet has changed. At this time, the collet should be replaced immediately to avoid accidents.

• After the v bits for cnc router is clamped, if it is found that the tool jumps during running, the machine should be stopped immediately, and the clamping should be repeated several times to allow the tool shank and the collet to have sufficient contact, and then the machine should be restarted.

• The contact between the tool shank and the collet should be good, and the shank must be fully inserted into the collet and tightened firmly, to provide sufficient clamping force for the tool. Please do not insert only a small part into the collet otherwise it will easily cause the tool shank to break and cause damage to the tool.

• Please wear appropriate eye and ear protection during the operation.

• Keep your body, clothes, and other objects away from the running cutter.

Maintenance Tips Over CNC V Bits

• Keep the v-groove router bit clean. After use, remove resin, sawdust, and other dirt using standard industrial solvents.

• Apply a small amount of machine oil to prevent rust on the tool surface and clean all stains on the tool shank to prevent slipping during use.

• Please do not sharpen the blade or change the condition of the v shape router bit without authorization because the grinding process needs to be done by professionals using professional equipment; otherwise, the blade may break easily, causing accidents.
