How To Use A Diamond Drag Bit

We all know that standard router bits can only achieve cutting or engraving operations when the spindle rotates at a high RPM. While, the spring-loaded diamond drag engraving bit should be working with the spindle turn-off. And the spring-loaded "floating head" applies constant pressure to the diamond tip.

We simply mount it to the spindle and make the CNC move in X, Y, and Z. Gentle reminder: We do not need to have the spindle spin.

• Keep the spindle off.

• CNC machine moves in X, Y & Z under a proper feed rate.

How to Choose the Diamond Engraving Bit

• If the materials to be engraved is coated materials, includes lacquered brass or anodized aluminum nameplates, please go with the 90 degree diamond drag bit.

• If you are planning to do engraving projects with very fine small details, please go with 90 degree option too.
