How to Set Up/Install/Operate A Portable CNC Plasma Cutter

A portable CNC plasma cutter is a very common model in cnc plasma cutting machines, and it is also a hot-sale model. It has both plasma cutting and flame cutting options; the portable design satisfies the needs of users for multi-site production. Its packaging volume totals 1 cubic meter, which can save you a lot of transportation costs. Based on these advantages, it has been favored by lots of users.

Okay, let's start…

01 Y Beam Installation

Lift the controller, align the bearing with the Y-axis track and push it forward to complete the installation. It is recommended that two people complete this step together.

02 X Beam Installation

Align the X beam with the hole on the cnc plasma cutting controller and push to complete the installation.

03 Plasma torch installation & Hookup

Pass the plasma cutting torch and its wire out of the slot behind the X beam.

Connect the plug.

Fasten the plasma cutting torch to the lifting body with screws.

Install the lifting body to the X beam

04 Oxy-fuel torch hookup

First, connect the red hose.

Then, connect the blue hose with the black separator.

Last, connect this one.

05 Cables Connection

Connect the control cable to the controller.

Connect the arc voltage control cable of the T.H.C with the arc voltage line of the plasma source.

Connect the signal cable of the plasma source to the control system.

Operation

Switch on the portable/mini cnc plasma cutter machine.

Press F7 enter into the MANUAL MODE

Press ↑↓← → to move the plasma cutting torch

Stop the torch to where you want to start cutting

We can see that the coordinates are exact numbers.

Press F3 to clear the coordinates, they are all zero now.  

Press the run key, a dialog box pops up

Press OK to start cutting.
