CNC wood lathe is a type of machine for turning wood. It usually consists of three major parts: the electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic parts. The daily maintenance of the equipment is one of the issues that users are most concerned about. Here we are going to share with you how to carry out proper routine maintenance for these three parts of a cnc woodworking lathe.
Daily Maintenance for Electronic Part
• Strictly abide by operation procedures and routine maintenance rules
• Prevent dust from entering the numerical control system/controller.
• Floating dust and metal powder may reduce the insulation resistance between components, causing faults or damage. Therefore, we should prevent such substances from falling into the electrical cabinet of your cnc wood turning lathes.
• Clean the heat dissipation and ventilation system of the cabinet regularly
• Monitor the input voltage of the CNC system regularly. The power voltage range is 85% ~ 115% of the rated value.
• When the cnc wood turning machine is not used for a long time, remember to frequently switch on the CNC system or conduct a dry run on the device.
Daily Checklist for Mechanical Part
• Please keep the wood lathe carbide tools and shanks clean.
• Check and adjust the axial clearance of the screw nut regularly to ensure reverse transmission accuracy and axial stiffness.
• Check periodically whether the connection between the lead screw support and the bed is loose and whether the support is damaged. In case of the above problems, tighten the loose part in time and replace the supporting bearing.
• For the ball screw with grease, we need to clean the old grease on the screw every six months and replace the new grease; for the ball screw lubricated with lubricating oil, refueling once a day before the machine work.
• Take care to avoid hard dust or chips into the lead screw protection cover and avoid impact on the protection cover. Replace the protective device as soon as it is damaged.
• Clean up foreign objects such as sawdust and dust on the rack regularly. Keep the transmission components clean.
• Regularly adjust the tightness of the spindle motor timing belt.
• Prevent all kinds of impurities into the lubricator. Replace the lubricating oil once a year.
Daily Maintenance for Pneumatic Part
• Remove impurities and moisture from compressed air.
• Check the amount of oil supplied by the atomizer in the system.
• Keep the system airtight.
• Pay attention to adjust the force of pneumatic.
• Clean or replace pneumatic components and filter elements.
