It's A Real High-Speed Double Head CNC Router Slatwall Machine

To prove this, we experimented in our workshop before machine delivery; that is, let the Slatwall router to cut the Slat board with different rates and see what the maximum one is.

As you can see in the video, the first cut is well done with a 15m/min feeding rate, and we increased the feeding rate to 20m/min in the second cut. The cut is very nice as well.

Based on the fact that this is a stepper motor driven machine, we did not continue to increase the feed rate. Just because that, in theory, a feeding rate over 20m/min will harm machine performance and lifespan.

So, as it turns out, the maximum feeding rate is 20m/min when cutting Slatwall MDF panels. It’s also the upper limit of working speed for this Slatwall machine. Of course, in actual production, you can set an appropriate cutting rate according to your own output.

The Embodiment of High Configuration on This Double Head CNC Router

• To improve productivity, the machine adopts the design of dual independent heads, and each head is equipped with an Italian HSD6KW spindle motor (AC220V). So, it can cut 2 grooves at a time. That is twice the output of a single head cnc router.

• Another advantage of this design is that one of the machine heads can be moved aside, and then you can use it as a single-head wood router. Therefore, it can be switched between the single-head and double-head working modes at will.

• To maximize the machine's durability, it adopts Taiwan's original linear guide rails and bearings. The brand is PMI, and its life span can be as long as 8 to 10 years.

• To effectively prolong the lifespan of linear guides, the router machine is equipped with a central lubrication system; lubricant can be delivered to each slider through this system.

• The CNC controller is model Lambda3S with MPG (manual pulse generator) from WEIHONG. It is based on the Windows system. Accordingly, the control cabinet is a floor type one that can get the whole computer set (host, monitor, keyboard, and mouse) accommodated there. FYI, the yellow unit in the following photo is the controller hardware. 

Q: Are WEIHONG Controllers Windows Based? 

A: Yes, they are Windows system based CNC controllers. Therefore, we need to use a desktop computer with a Windows operating system to control and run the cnc router machine. Please see that the laptop doesn't work with Weihong controllers because it does not have a card slot for installing the Weihong control card.

• The operating software of the machine is NcStudio Lambda3S. Please refer to the following picture.
