A: Both options have their own perks and drawbacks, so it’s important to pick what suits us best! Let's take a look at the prime differences between them:

01. Regarding smoke exhaust effectiveness, the water table system outperforms the downdraft type.

02. When considering the convenience of collecting cut parts, the downdraft table is the superior option. Since the parts drop directly into a drawer below, the operator can effortlessly pull out the drawer to get the parts. In contrast, with a water table, the operator has to fish the parts out of the water pan, making it less convenient.

03. From the perspective of removing slag, the down-draw table is easier. When cut parts are not cooled down, we only need to knock them a few times against the ground or another surface, and the slag will fall off. On the other hand, with a water table, the parts are always immersed in water, keeping them cool. For these parts,  we’ll need to use some specialized grinding tools to remove the slag.
